

Thonal Nesbitt was born on October 18, 1934 to Luther and Ada Mai Beall Nesbitt in Chicago, Illinois. He was the third of four sons. At an early age Thonal accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. Thonal was a faithful member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, IL
He served in the United States Air Force from August 11, 1953 to August 10, 1957.
Thonal was joined in holy matrimony to Idella Fears on November 6, 1953. To that union they became the proud parents of four children. Two sons, Harold and Thornell preceded him in death.
From 1964 to 1994, Thonal was employed with Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL retiring as a Government Regulation Coordinator.
Thonal and Idella moved to Las Vegas, Nevada after his retirement. On April 30, 1995 he united with Calvary Southern Baptist Church where he served as the Deacon Ministry Chairman, the Trustee Board Chairperson, a member of the Expansion Committee and volunteered in the FISH Emergency Food Bank.
He leaves to celebrate the life he lived, his dedicated wife of sixty years; Idella Nesbitt, two daughters, Denise Atkisson and Lovie (Harold) Campbell; two brothers, Nathaniel (Ophelia) Nesbitt and Cleo Nesbitt; three grandchildren, Darren Brooks, Quinea (Dan) Anderson, and Ananda Nesbitt. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, his beloved church family and friends.
