Vicki Lynn Switzer, 61, a long-time resident of Las Vegas, passed away with her family singing by her side on January 28, 2016 at Summerlin Hospital. She was born September 17, 1954 in Terra Haute, Indiana to Earl and Norma Switzer. Vicki received her Bachelors and Masters in Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She worked for Clark County School District for nearly 30 years as a teacher and Librarian. She loved her job and promoting literacy was her passion. She was an adventurer at heart and spent her time away from her students travelling the world. Vicki is survived by her mother, Norma; daughters, Leilani (Tom) and Cari (James); David (Dani) and Maile; several grandchildren, Andrew, Alexandra, Emilie, Ayden, Declan, Davis, and Callum; five sisters, Debbie, Kelley, Kathy, Linda and Tammy; and two brothers, Steve and Brandon; and forty-five nieces and nephews. She was the most caring and thoughtful daughter, older sister, mother, grandmother, friend and colleague.
