

Vivian Arlene Beyea, formerly Kerr, passed away on November 20th 2025, at the age of 92 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vivian was born on March 23rd 1933 in Gouverneur, NY to William M. and Hilda M. Bishop. Vivian was loved and adored by all those who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Growing up in Gouverneur, she was a member of the Girl Scouts, Mariner Scouts, and the Gouverneur Highschool acapella choir. While in the choir she was chosen on three occasions to be a member of the All-State Choir in Potsdam, NY. She graduated from Gouverneur Highschool in 1952 and Watertown Chamber of Commerce Business School in 1953. In 1953 she married her first Husband Clayton M Kerr of Fine, NY. In 1957 Vivian welcomed her first daughter Crystal followed by her second Daughter Laura in 1958. She would often say that her home town was so small that the same Dr Harry Mills that delivered her as a baby was the one who also delivered both of her daughters. She proudly served as a troop leader for both her daughters Brownie Scouts and Girl Scouts troops as well as being a member of the Westside School PTA.
In 1973 Vivian moved to Las Vegas along with Clayton and her daughters. She was first employed as a supervisor at Opportunity Village, an organization for those with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Later she became a member of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a 311/PBX operator in the communications division. She retired from the LVMPD in 1996 after 21 years of service. Then in 2005 Vivian married her second husband George (G.C.) Beyea formerly of Waterloo, NY.
Throughout her life Vivian enjoyed various outdoor activities, especially camping with her family and friends on the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario in her home state of New York.
Vivian is survived by her grandson Clarence (CT) Kerr, nieces Trina, Diana, Sheila, Carol, Elaine and her nephew Donald. As well as many great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Hilda Bishop, first husband Clayton, daughters Crystal and Laura, her sister Eleanor, second husband George (G.C.) and her nephew John.
