Wayne C Buckley

Wayne was born in St Paul, MN on April 7, 1949. He died in Las Vegas, NV on June 12, 2024. After retiring, and living for several years in Monroe, LA, Wayne his wife, Jeanette, relocated permanently to Las Vegas, NV. They were married for 52 years and had one son, Lerell C. Buckley, now deceased.

Wayne spent a long career with 3M Company. The Buckley home was the site of countless family gatherings, staging site for fishing trips, reunions, barbecues and marathon storytelling. Wayne and Jeanette enjoyed travel—near and far.

Wayne is survived by: wife, Jeanette Buckley; sister, Denise Harrington (Steve); sisters and brothers in law, Glory A. Williams, Mildred F. Williams (Mark), David Williams, Russell L. Williams, Barbara G. Williams, Fritz Williams, Jr. (Joyce), Charlene Williams-Mumbo (Charles) and Sharon Johnson; and, his son’s cherished childhood and family friend, Paul Roberts.

Preceded in death by: son, Lerell C. Buckley; birth parents Carlee Buckley and Mary Jane Collins; adoptive parents Albert R. and Dorothy L. Shavers; mother-in-law, Ezell C. Williams (Ma Ezell); brothers in law, Roosevelt Williams, Billy Ray Williams and Kenneth R. Williams

A visitation for Wayne will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Palm Mortuary - Downtown, 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
