

Albert Paul Floyd Sr, age 81, of Monroe Georgia transitioned to heaven on September 20, 2021. Born on March 19, 1940, in Monroe, Georgia, to Horace and Sennie Floyd, he attended a one classroom elementary school at Brown Hill Baptist Church. While Albert only completed a 6th grade level education, he mastered the art of negotiations that successfully navigated him and his family through world-wide travels in the entertainment and construction industries.
At 15 years old, Mr. Floyd's primary goal began a pursuit of providing a living for his family. He founded Albert Paul Floyd Sr. Construction Company. He accomplished all levels of masonry skills to become a Master Brick Mason at 18 years old. His construction company specialized in high-end artistry of Brick masonry. Under his guidance, the company became one of the most largest and dependable construction companies in Monroe during the 1960s. With over 63 years of business; his company has become a black-owned generational enterprise ran and operated by his sons. His repertoire of clients; consisted of but not limited to the likes of Carey Ford (Ford Dealership), Dale Murphy (Atlanta Braves), Phil Neikro (Atlanta Braves), Carl Newton, Brand Bank Inc.,Monroe Georgia, Fire Department, and many other governmental and celebrity clients.
Albert Floyd was married to Winnie Culbreath Floyd for 25 years and to Evelyn Smith Floyd for 30 years. He leaves behind 8 Children and 2 Bonus Children from his late marriage to Evelyn Floyd. (Darlene, Averrel, Albert Jr., Keith, Michael, Lutonia, Paulette, Winifred, Sharon, and Sheila.) A host of Grandchildren,great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
