

Albert was born in Pineville, Louisiana on April 8th 1946. He was born to parents John Leonard Sr. (a farmer) and Lillie Marie Glenn (a homemaker) whom both preceded him in death. He was the eldest of 3 siblings, John Leonard (Bridgette) and Marie Leonard (Wilbur)
Albert attended Dunbar Elementary, and Jefferson Jr High in Houston Texas, where he would leave to help His Father do farm work. He would later work for himself doing concrete slab work with a crew of 5 men! Albert was so great at his work, that he was asked by Fred Lott Construction Company to transfer to Atlanta Georgia to operate their concrete machine. When he wasn’t working, he would spend time playing dominoes and listening to Al Green.
Upon moving to Atlanta in 1989, he met the love of his life, Margie Griffin Leonard. They were as tight as glue, and did anything for each other. What he enjoyed most about Margie is her delicious cooking and sense of humor.
He leaves behind to mourn, 5 children with Margie Griffin Leonard, Joshua Griffin, Noah Griffin(Shekia), Gerald Griffin, Tamishia Hunter (Christopher), and Cordaryl Griffin. 7 Grandchildren Dieosha Griffin, Takeria Griffin, Shuntay Rivers, Jamareea Rivers, Mekhi White, Naleah Griffin, Noah Griffin Jr.
He also leaves behind 6 children from Houston,Texas. Karen Leonard, Monique Simpson, Donna Leonard, Al’Bert Simpson, Kerwin Simpson, and Albert Leonard Jr. (whom preceded him in death). He also had a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Neices, Nephews, and Friends. Albert also had a special cousin whom he shared lots on memories Mrs Annie B. Clark.
