Earl Daryl Ragland

God called the love of my life home Thursday, February 13, 2025. My beloved husband and our loving father was born April 24, 2025 in Springfield, Ohio to his loving parents, the late Earl D. Ragland Sr. and Ella M. Johnson. They precede him in death along with his siblings, brothers, Terry A. Davis, Dalbert L. Davis, Robert C. Walls, and Curtis L. Walls.

Having responded to the call of God to salvation at the age of eighteen in 1969. Earl was endowed with an insatiable appetite for the word of God. As a dedicated Bible student early in his walk with God, he soon became recognized as respected teacher of the word of God in his home church.

From there, he went on to serve in teaching, preaching, and counseling capacities for several ministries, including six years of service as Senior Pastor of a Church he and his loving wife, Gloria founded in 1992 in Springfield, Ohio. Burdened with a deep passion for the winning of souls, he engaged in years of street ministry, sharing the gospel by means of street meetings and one-on-one witnessing. God has used him to bring many souls into the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He had a profound passion for music that he shared with his family. He was a singer and songwriter who wrote many compassionate songs. Earl also used his talents to author and published his book, Life, A Journey Through the Mind of God. He devoted much time and effort into drafting his book, which was a huge accomplishment.

Earl always gave his time, his talents, his energy, and his love unconditionally to his family and friends. In his later years, he enjoyed the simple things of life like watching his favorite minister on TV and going for walks in the park with his wife.

In his family circle, he leaves to continue the walk of life - a devoted WIFE: Gloria Ragland; DAUGHTERS: Andrea Ragland (Springfield, OH), Erica Ragland (Columbus, OH), Rachel Coger (Lawrenceville, GA), Shalindi Rochester (Boston, MA), SONS: Isaiah Ragland (Pensacola, FL), Rashaad Ragland (Raleigh, NC), SISTERS: Ina M. Moore (John), Patricia Walls King (Larry), Barbara Walls (Hingham, MA), BROTHERS: Joseph B. Hocker (Eva), Steve Houpe (Donna), and host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as friends who will miss him dearly.
