Helen Anne Terrell, a woman deeply loved by her family and adored by others who knew her. Survived by two sons, Marvin and Michael Terrell, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and even six great-great grandchildren. She was truly a selfless individual, dedicating much of her time to being of service to others. She was born and grew up in Port Arthur, TX, a small town but a place she always called “home.” Her proudest moments were when her two sons, Marvin and Michael were born in 1950 and 1953. Years later she went on to work alongside her son Michael at his real estate law firm as a secretary.
Her proudest career moment was when she learned to do a HUD on the computer. One of her proudest personal achievements was when she became a Eucharist Minister and Lector at her church when she lived in Maui, HI. Her favorite movies were “Gone with the Wind,” “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” “My Fair Lady,” “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Those who knew her knew her favorite color was yellow and her granddaughter, Rachel, when she saw she was wearing yellow Totes socks just before she passed. She enjoyed reading and walking, proudly winning awards in her age group for the Fuzz Run. Helen had an opposition to being called by her first name, Helen, but instead preferred for people to just simply call her “Granny.” She would want us all to remember, “Don’t smack” your food, “Wash your elbows” and “Did you wash your hands?” She lived a long life and touched the hearts of many along the way.
