Jim, 

I miss you and our long conversations. I can still hear you signing off by saying that we had covered it all. You were always the master of understatement. I feel your presence. I know you sent me that little black cat and his gray pal. Now you must help me get Cooper to like them.  And ias Pearl Bailey sang, a five pound box o money would be nice.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting James, I do know how happy he made all those around him--especially Jem. I heard so many wonderful stories from Jem, and other friends, about how caring and gentle he was and how he always had a soft heart for any animal in need--the sign of a very caring person, indeed. I really wish I could have tasted some of the wonderful dishes that I heard he was so famous for creating. It is always hard to lose a loved one, but the wonderful memories James left will only grow stronger each day. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jim had a wonderful laugh. He always dressed so nice and had nice scented cologne. He loved to landscape the yard and was a great floral designer. He loved his cats and feed the neighbourhood ferel cats. Jim I know you miss him so much. I have you in my thoughts and prayers. I would love to see you and give you a big hug. I love you very much.

When working at Special Projects Group answering phones,  it was always a race to answer the phone when Jim called in. He was a ray of sunshine to all who had the blessing of knowing him. Rest in peace friend. Jem our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  We are all here for you.

One of my favorite moments is whenever Jim (Aka Sweet Cheeks) would call into the office for you and we would all race to answer the phone because we loved talking with him. 😊🥰

James was the kindest man. His grace and humor will forever be a joy to me not to mention his wit. We shared the days, heartache and laughter. I am sure God and the angels are singing with delight to welcome this sweet soul home. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. James will always be a beauty and a joy. Wow I can't  not believe it Gem was my friend one qreat person.  You only need a person like  Gem Once in a lifetime you will be missed rest in heaven my friend until we meet again

One of the most humble caring intelligent beautiful people I have had the pleasure to have known.  A survivor from some of his earliest memories, Jim would always put others first.  
He had varied interest and seemed to know a little bit about any subject you could imagine.  Why Wednesday was his favorite TV time.
He was an avid animal lover, could never do enough to take care of wayward animals.
A gourmet chef, may not have had the credentials but he could turn around a few times in the kitchen and have a meal anyone would enjoy.
Being home bound and in his last few months bed ridden, he never complained - except about my cooking.
For more than fifty years, he was my life.

Loved this man and his sense of humor! He kept me laughing so hard everytime we spoke.... such a quick wit and a joy to be with.... he guided me thru many recipes of his because did I mention he was an amazing cook in addition to all of his other endearing qualities! The world lost a shining star on January 13th and heaven gained an 😇.  So glad I was able to call him my friend and I will miss him deeply.
