Joyce Suddeth

Joyce Suddeth, of Norcross, Georgia passed away on October 25, 2018. Joyce was born on March 19, 1937. She was a proud graduate of Decatur High School, class of 1955, and a life long support of Georgia Tech. Joyce’s career was in insurance with Alexander & Alexander, retiring in 1992. Joyce was involved in many sports, including softball and bowling. But her love was golf. Her perfect day was playing golf with her buddies. For decades she was Tournament Chairman for Eagles Green Women’s Golf League and Mystery Valley Ladies Golf Association. Joyce Suddeth was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and James Suddeth. Joyce is survived by her partner of 52 years, Sherry McQuiston, her sister, Elaine Ray, her nephew, Clint Ray (Tiffany), great nieces, Taylor and Sutton Ray, and many cousins. Many close friends, her golfing buddies and her 4-legged friend, Brandy, also survive her. A celebration of life will be held at Ippolito’s Restaurant on January 26 from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. Ippolito’s is located at 2270 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, GA.
