Larry’s faith, wife, family and friends mattered the most. He was a man of integrity, a role model, devoted, patient, considerate, had a great sense of humor and was always proud of his family. His ten grandchildren describe him as: “steadfast, sincere, witty, loyal, fun-loving, blessed, dependable, wise, funny, and athletic.” He was a man who easily earned the respect from those fortunate to be in his life .

He was voted State of Kansas Basketball Player of the Year in 1961 and went on to play basketball in college. He continued playing in various leagues, including Knights of Columbus, until his 50’s.
