Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Allan and Helen Smith King, Sr. He was employed as a printing supervisor for the Department of Defense.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Linda Rose King; his sons Robert King and Darrell King; daughter Tomeka Crusoe-Smith; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Lee Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Linda King, 3962 Horseshoe Road N, Unit 1-B, Little River, SC 29566.
