

Born August 15, 1959, Al was known for his infectious personality, kind heart, and remarkable musical talent. He had a deep love for music and enjoyed sharing that gift with others. Al could beautifully play the piano and guitar and loved to sing. Music was a constant joy in his life. He also enjoyed sports and spending time with family and friends, who meant the world to him.
Al was preceded in death by his mother, Sadie Shannon, whom he lovingly cared for during her illness, and his father, Alton Whitted “Whit” Taylor, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Ginger Taylor; his children, Christopher and Michael (Jen); and his cherished grandchildren, Kylee, Nathan, and Aubrey. He is also survived by his brother and best friend, Jeff Taylor (Billie); his sisters, Cheryl West (Alan) and Ashley Dowless (Nathan); and his stepmother, Annette Taylor. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Snoopy, a faithful companion.
Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Katie McClain (Jason), Allie Harden (Stephen), Taylor, Tenley, Carlie West, Madeline West, Cameron West (Elena), and Jayden Sepulveda; his great-niece, Tatum McClain; and his great-nephew, Tanner McClain.
Al was known for his humor, his unforgettable laugh, and his genuine love for his grandkids, they brought so much joy to him. They were the light of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, friend, and caretaker whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and joy to those around him.
Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created, the music he shared, and the love he gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Dublin First Baptist Church in Dublin, North Carolina.
