Andrew J. Matty

He was the husband of Darlene K. (Lower) Matty. Andrew was born on August 8, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Son of the late Andrew and Mary (Margitish) Matty.

He retired as an inventory management specialist from the Naval Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg, PA. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, North Myrtle Beach. He was an avid golfer.

In addition to his wife, Andrew is also survived by four sons; Andrew J. Matty, Jr. (Kelly), Gregory M. Matty, Eric M. Matty, and Thomas C. Matty (Amanda).

Five grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Erin, Katrina, Holden and Carter. A sister, Janice Eustice. He was preceded in death by a sister, Suzanne Matty.

A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1100 8th Ave. North Myrtle Beach, SC. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
