Barbara "Bobbie" Sue Dixon

Barbara and her husband James "Jimmy" Martin Dixon, Jr. began dating when they were only 14 years old. They married in Hawaii where Jimmy was stationed in the US Army and on December 21, 2020, they celebrated their 58th anniversary. Barbara and Jimmy relocated in 2008 from Gaithersburg, MD and she enjoyed her days walking on the beach collecting sea glass. Barbara enjoyed reading but mostly enjoyed spending time with her precious four legged canine companion, Bella.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jimmy, are her sons, Darrell Dixon (wife, Janet Bagby), Scott Dixon; daughter, Kim Dixon (husband, Shawn Aldridge); and one grandson, Jeremy Dixon. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Lowe and two sisters, Joan Colwell and Cathy Ely. Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Richard A. Dixon, who passed in 1988.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society, 409 Bay St, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
