

Barry G. Hartman entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 2, 2024 with his loving wife, daughter, and son-in-law by his side. He was 82 years old. Born in Nazareth, PA, Barry was born to the late Lester G. and Miram Reimer Hartman.
A graduate of Pen Argyl High School in Pennsylvania, Barry completed his bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. On June 23, 1973, he married Geraldine Schultz before returning for his master’s degree at Kean University in Union, NJ.
Barry worked in sales with Kraft foods for three years before joining Piscataway High School. He began his career with the high school teaching the food service program and retired after 25 years as the Cooperative Industrial Education Teacher.
In his younger years, Barry enjoyed fishing and throughout his life, he had a love of music and the theater. He was an avid sports fan and throughout his life, his love of the Phillies, Eagles and Rutgers never wavered.
Barry had a true love for the Lord. Following his retirement, he and Geraldine moved to Calabash, NC where they joined Seaside United Methodist Church in Sunset Beach, NC. Barry sang in the choir and also volunteered at other church events.
After Barry and Geraldine moved to Calabash, they continued to enjoy many years of traveling as well as the beautiful local beaches. They shared memories that will last a lifetime.
In addition to Geraldine, his wife of 51 years, he is survived by his daughter, Tracey Hartman-George and husband, Matthew of Little River, SC; son Ty Hartman and wife, Michelle of Fairfield, NJ; and grandsons, Ryan and Gavin of Fairfield, NJ.
A private cremation will be held with no formal service.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donation to be made to The American Cancer Society.
