Betty J. Green

Betty Jo Green, 79, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 8, 1937 in Sparta, NC, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emma Lee Wagoner Andrews.

Mrs. Green is survived by her children, Darrell Kennedy (Patricia), Rhonda Ashburn, Kevin Kennedy (Terri) and Chris Kennedy (Anitra); brother, Robert Andrews; sisters, Barbara Church, Shirley Childress, Margaret Bowles and Patsy Jarrett; seven grandchildren, Justin and Wesley Kennedy, Kenny Wayne, Holly, and Jeremy Ashburn, Bryce and Brooke Kennedy; and 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Mackie Green.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, March 11 in J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 122 West Main, Thomasville, NC 27361. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

A second memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3 to 3:30 pm.
