Betty Faye Mew, born January 22, 1931, in Aynor, South Carolina, passed on April 21, 2026, at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late John and Sallie James. Betty lived in Little River, South Carolina.
She is survived by her sons, Philip Mew, Stephen Mew (Jean); brother, Johnson J. James; grandchildren, Stephanie Upchurch, Bettina Wilson, Samantha Mew; along with five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her daughter, Dainta Faye Elledge, and sisters, Bobbie, Miriam and Evelyn.
Visitation will be held at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, South Carolina 29566, on April 29, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place at Devotion Gardens, 2931 Hwy 76, Mullins, SC, on April 29, 2026.
