Brenda Blair Saleeby

Brenda Eolin Blair Saleeby, 80 years young, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Conway Medical Center. Born on September 15, 1942 in Union, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Horace Blair and Flora (Flo) Glover Blair.

Brenda grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from Greensboro Senior High School in 1960. She continued her studies for two years at Lee-McRae College, and finished her degree at Kings Business College in 1963. After college she relocated to North Myrtle Beach which has been her home since 1970.

Brenda has worn many hats in the workforce. She started her career in banking. After moving to North Myrtle Beach she worked for JO Baldwin Construction Company, Burke Hunter McDonald CPA, Myrtle Beach Airlines, owner and operator of Ms. Brenda’s Daycare, and her welcoming smile made her the face of Belk’s customer service for over 27 years. She also did volunteer work that included the Methodist Youth Fellowship, Trinity United Methodist, and Girl Scouts.

Her life was filled with the joy of Christmas, bingo, Belk, gift giving, playing cards with her friends, music, life at the beach, shagging, floating in the ocean, shopping, baking, celebrating others, diet coke, she celebrated every holiday, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Brenda is survived by her many, many friends and family including Stephanie Saleeby, John & Jennifer Cantey, Jackson Cantey, Josie Cantey, Joe Saleeby, Andrew Blair, Crystal Nelson, John & Paige Nivens, Madison Nivens, Tanner Nivens, Kevin & Marbury Saleeby, Chloe Saleeby, Orin Saleeby, Rafe Saleeby, Glenn & Janie Beeson, Christian Messoria, Olivia Keys, Scott & Robin Morrison and Glenn Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents Horace Blair and Flora (Flo) Glover Blair and brothers Hugh Blair and Gene (Tootie) Blair.

A visitation for Brenda will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Hwy 90, Little River, SC.
