Carol Stump, 84, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021. Born in Garden City, NY, she was the only child of the late Winchell Royce and Leona Spangenberg Royce. Carol was the faithful wife of the late Charles David “Dave” Stump.
Following her retirement from the Maryland Legislative Department, Carol and Dave moved to North Myrtle Beach. She was an active member of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce and The Women’s Club of North Myrtle Beach. Carol was a very sociable and outgoing woman who enjoyed photography as well as playing Bridge with friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and cousin who will be greatly missed by all who know and love her.
Surviving are her son, John Stump; daughter, Gerri Kennedy; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Elizabeth Stump.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Horry County Meals on Wheels, 4006 Postal Way, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
