Charles McAvoy

Charles “Charlie” McAvoy, 54, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly Wingdale, NY, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Born on April 13, 1968 in the Bronx, NY, Charlie was the son of Jacquelyn (Herrmann) McAvoy Wilkin. He was a plumber and worked at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach. Charlie was an avid fisherman, played college football and coached Pop Warner football in Carmel, NY. He graduated with honors from JFK High School in Somers, NY and attended West Conn College in Danbury, Connecticut. In addition to his mother, Charlie is survived by his stepfathers, James Wilkin and Robert Ciampi; one sister, Jackie Aynn and her husband, Jason Belcher; and nieces and nephews, Tyler, Kiersten and Andrew.
