

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at Waccamaw Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC, on January 10, 2026. Corinne was born February 19, 1955, in Allendale, SC, to Josephine and Robert McNair. At a young age, she relocated to Columbia, SC, with her family due to her father’s political career. She attended and graduated from Spring Valley High School, went on to study at Columbia College, and later earned a degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina. After a brief career in banking and law, she dedicated her life to her church and family, demonstrating unwavering devotion to her husband and being an exemplary mother to her children and grandchildren.
Corinne was predeceased in death by her parents, Robert and Josephine McNair, brother Bobby, sister Claudia, daughter Josephine, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha Jane and William Godshall. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stanyarne; son and daughter-in-law Cole and Leslie Parks; son-in-law Douglas Spender; and grandchildren Jack, Caroline, Claudia, Callie, and Andy. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Jon Howell; a sister-in-law Dawn Alewine (Edgar); a brother-in-law Erich Godshall (Debra); sister-in-law Judy McNair; niece Weslyn Alewine; nephew Will Alewine (Abigail); nephew Jon Craig Howell (Julie); niece Jodi Dean (Matt); and nephews Robby and Billy McNair.
Corinne was an accomplished Precept Bible Study teacher that studied under Precept’s founder, Kay Arthur with her dear friend, Cynthia Oxford. She loved to read, sew, and her favorite was cooking and spending time with her family and cherished grandchildren. She was a member of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church.
A celebration of life will be held for Corinne and her daughter Josephine later in 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to in her honor to Precept Ministries, St. Jude’s, and the Lupus Foundation.
