

David E. Marlowe, age 66, of Longs, SC passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 25, 1955 in Loris, SC he was the son of the late Paul and Wilma Lee Gause Marlowe.
David was a member of Camp Swamp United Methodist Church. A local to the area, David was a graduate of Loris High School class of 1973. He was the owner and operator of A – American Palmetto Doors. David was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hunting, fishing, gardening and driving his tractors. David was a big fan of westerns, especially Gun Smoke. He was also known to be quite the grill master and chef. David, also known as “Looper” was a family man who valued each moment spent with his beloved family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Karen Marlowe; children, Cori Murrell (Russell); Abbi Santa (Jeff); Will Marlowe (Holly); D.J. Marlowe; grandchildren, Dylan Murrell; Max Santa; Eli Santa; Remi Marlowe; a great-grandchild, Evan Murrell; brother, Ned Marlowe (Jane); nephew, Dax Marlowe (Shanda); great-nephew, Dawson Marlowe. David was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
