Donald “Donny” Keller, 76, passed away early Sunday morning, September 28, 2025, following a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Born on March 27, 1949, in Mocksville, NC, he was the son of the late Clarence and Wylene Bailey Keller. On December 22, 1998, Donny married Sherri Little Reep in Key West, Fl. They lived in Mocksville, NC until 2006, when they moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC.
From a young age Donny was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and was a lifelong member of Jericho Church of Christ in Mocksville, NC. He felt it was his responsibility to share the word with those he loved, especially his daughters. His testimony was strong, and his core values held stronger while enforcing the rule of the tongue. After moving to North Myrtle Beach, he attended Ocean Drive Presbyterian Church. Because of his beliefs and sharing his love of Christ, his family relationships and friendship were everlasting. Throughout his life, those who knew him knew that he was fair and treated everyone with utmost respect, they loved him, and he will live on forever in their hearts.
A 1967 graduate of Davie County High School, Donny received his associate’s degree in criminal justice from Forsyth Technical Community College. A strong work ethic was instilled in Donny and lasted throughout his life. In 1969, he established Southeastern Sewing Services, Inc. where he was the owner, cloth cutter, machine fixer, pickup/delivery driver, and anything else that needed to be done until 2006 when he eventually ‘retired’ in North Myrtle Beach. His new freedom wasn’t exaggerated but rather humbled by a Meadowlands Golf Club uniform where he worked for 16+ years at the bag drop where he most enjoyed the free golf privilege. This was a great “perk” since Donny loved golfing and encompassed every aspect of the game. His greatest golfing experiences were the opportunities to play three courses in Scotland as well as Pebble Beach, in California and scoring three hole-in-ones in his lifetime. He also co-owned Cherry Grove Services with his stepson, Josh Reep, after moving to the beach, proving that retirement didn’t mean you have to stop!
Surviving in addition to his wife Sherri are his children, Tanya Keller Ginther (Chuck) of Mocksville, NC, Megan Keller McDaniel of North Myrtle Beach; stepson, Josh Reep (Carrie) of Durham, NC; grandchildren, Haley Ginther (Josh Foster), Ross Ginther, Jake Renegar, and Macy McDaniel, all of Mocksville, NC. He is also survived by his brother Bob Keller (Carol) of Stella, NC.
Friends are invited to visit from 4:00 until 7:00pm during a Celebration of Life at Junker’s Party Barn on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
