Donna McLamb Hardwick, age 61, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Born in Myrtle Beach and raised in Brunswick County, Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Hobson and Barbara Meares.
A graduate of West Brunswick High School, Donna dedicated her career to caring for others as a compassionate and devoted medical assistant. Her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her profession, touching the lives of everyone she met.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Hardwick; her daughters, Candice McLamb and Christina Toler (Frank); her cherished granddaughter, Somiayah Flosson; and her brother, Clayton Meares. She also embraced the grandchildren she gained through her marriage to Johnny, finding immense joy in her role as a grandmother.
Donna was a proud member of Sharon Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were a source of strength and comfort. She was known for her vibrant seasonal decorations, which brought warmth and cheer to her home year-round. Between holidays, her shelves were always adorned with her favorite motif—chickens and roosters.
As a mother, Donna was always present, whether it was for heartfelt conversations or spontaneous adventures, including impromptu tattoos that became cherished memories. Her marriage to Johnny brought new joys, including a love for jet skiing and boating, which she embraced with enthusiasm and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Donna's memory to Sharon Baptist Church, 2101 Cotton Patch Rd. Longs, South Carolina 29568 care of Esther Webster.
Donna will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
