Dorothy McGinnis Whetstine, 97, died Monday, June 26, 2017 at NHC Healthcare, Murrells Inlet, SC.
Born on June 10, 1920 in Kings Mountain, NC, she was the daughter of the late Hinkle and Ida Harris McGinnis.
She was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Whetstine is survived by her son, Jack Whetstine, Jr.; daughter, Joyce Fedrick (Jess); grandchildren, Kellie, Brandon, Dustin and one great grandchild, Bradley. She is predeceased by her husband, Jack Whetstine, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 28 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
