My deepest Sympathy to Douglas’s family,  and especially  to his mother Beverly. My husband and I attend services at Grace when visiting from Our home town of Pittsburgh Pa.  Douglas was the first usher to welcome us to the church, he shared with us how much he loved the church and that he moved to South Carolina to take care of  his Mother.  My deepest sympathy for your loss , what a special son you were blessed with and everyone was to have him if only for a short time- let your memories be your strength in the days ahead.  He surely will be missed!

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you Beverly and the Coldiron family and friends!  I will miss my sweet brother Douglas very much but know I will see him once again!  Douglas was on fire for God!  He was always excited and willing to share God’s word with others and pray for all!  He loved to encourage others and lift them up whenever the moment would arise.  He loved to worship our God through singing, dancing, praise!  He was our dancing Usher!  Douglas was certainly one of a kind!  He had a very kind heart!  I am so sorry I wasn’t in town to take part in the celebration of Douglas’s life, however, one day I will be able to celebrate our eternal life in heaven when God calls me Home!  Until then Douglas Rest In Peace!

The first time I attended church at Grace Christian Fellowship and every time thereafter, Douglas made such an a difference in my experience there.  He gave me my welcome gift and his dancing instantly communicated to me that GCF gave people the freedom to worship as they wished.  His welcoming smile and his dancing in the spirit always put a smile on my face.  Of course, his diligent work as usher and in seating everyone comfortably also exhibited his dedication and devotion to the Lord.  He will be greatly missed and my love and prayers go out to his sweet mother, Beverly, and all his family, friends and our church family.   Ann-Marie Morin


It is with sympathy and sadness that I  deliver a few words to the family of Douglas.  Merely attending one service at GCF and one will remember him.  Praising God in the aisles of the sanctuary during praise and worship, Doug  exercised such love for God with his graceful but vigorous dances and hand motions.   He always appeared to be a pleasant and helpful individual.   What a loss to the family and the church.  He will certainly be missed by us.  He is dancing and glorifying his God and Savior now.  Though weeping for him here by many, that is not the case for Doug in Glory Land.  I pray peace and comfort unto all left behind.  Only God can provide the peace you need to finish this earthly journey.

Douglas was such a happy brother in Christ, I always loved his dancing for the Lord. He reminded me of David. I will always see him dancing in the aisle.
He was such a blessing, I will miss him, but look forward to seeing you in Heaven.



Douglas has been a part of our church, Grace Christian Fellowship for several years. He had grown into a great friend and a faithful worker. He was always my go-to guy for anything I needed. (Denise) Always willing and ready to serve and bless others, he will be incredibly missed. He is dancing in heaven with the Lord, and in that we find comfort. Many prayers and love to his family who will miss him. 

My wife, Toni and I went to the same church, Grace Christian Fellowship, as Doug. We want to share our deepest condolences.
