Edward J. Dodson

Edward J. Dodson lll, “Trip”, 69, of North Myrtle Beach, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Grand Strand Medical Center.

A Richmond, VA native, he was born November 13, 1951, son of the late Edward J. Dodson and Josephine L. Dodson.

He was an avid golf fan and loved to play alongside his sons and friends. He also loved to travel with his longtime partner Renee Setzer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his face would light up watching Ty play Little League, Pip cheering, and he adored Thomas Clay. He loved all his grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them a new golf swing or how to build a porch.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Georgia G. Eure, Ronald D. Dodson, and Diane E. Tefel; his partner, Renee Setzer; his children, Laura D. Dodson, Kimberly B. Dodson, Thomas E. Dodson and his wife, Sueann, Matt H. Dodson and his wife, Alex; his stepdaughter, Charity Benner and husband David; his five grandchildren, Kahlil, Henry, Tyler, Alaina, and Thomas Clay; his step grandchildren, Lucas and Cashton; one great grandchild Layla; and thirteen nieces and nephews.

He will be missed dearly by all who love him.
