Francis A. Bedard

Francis A. Bedard, 77, of Longs, SC formerly of Naugatuck, CT passed away on Sunday May 7, 2023

He was the loving husband of Joann E. (Sortino) Bedard. They were married for 54 years.

Francis was born on December 2, 1945, in Waterbury, CT. Son of the late Donat and Arlene (Baribault) Bedard.

He was owner of Bedard Painting and Wallpapering Company in Naugatuck.

He was a US Army veteran of the Viet Nam War.

A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Elim Park, 150 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire CT.

In addition to his wife, Francis is also survived by two sons: Brian Bedard (Kim) and Brandon Bedard (Karyn).

Five grandchildren; Mason Bedard, Makenna Bedard, Lauren Bedard, Maddie Bedard, and Cate Bedard.

Two sisters; Diane Lappin and Kathy Michaud. A brother, Peter Bedard. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Bedard.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
