Harrie Sidenberg Prince, lovingly known as “Amom,” passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, perseverance, and unwavering love for her family.
Born on August 2, 1941, in Wake Forest, North Carolina, Harrie was a woman of quiet strength and deep commitment. She was married for 39 years to Joseph Mitchell Prince, her steadfast partner in life. Their marriage was marked by loyalty, shared memories, and a lasting bond built over decades together.
She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Jennifer C. Bullock and Deborah C. Levine, and a caring stepmother to Jonna P. Baker and Jeannie P. Solis. Her greatest joy was her role as “Amom,” the name first given to her by her granddaughter Aleigh after hearing her mother say, “Hey Mom.” The name stayed, and it became a title she carried with pride and love. She cherished her grandchildren — Caine Levine, Aleigh Rouse, Grayson Bullock, Mitch Keith, Cameron Baker, and Chance Baker — and adored her great-grandchildren, Max Levine, Austyn Rouse, Gavriel Levine, and Dylan Rouse. Her family was the center of her world.
Harrie’s work ethic was unmatched. She was proud of the fact that she never missed a single day of work throughout her career — a reflection of her reliability, discipline, and personal integrity. She worked as an office manager at Parrish Caine in Wilmington, later with Coastal Beverage in Wilmington, and then with Jessup Distributing in Wilson, North Carolina. She approached every position with professionalism and dedication.
While raising two daughters and working full-time, Harrie pursued higher education and earned her degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in the 1980s. Completing her degree later in life was a testament to her determination and resilience.
She had a lifelong love of college basketball and greatly admired players such as Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman. She enjoyed vacations with Mitchell and treasured the time they spent together, including taking shag lessons years ago. She found peace in working with her hands through knitting and needlepoint and was an avid reader who could finish a book in a single day.
Harrie was known for her strong spirit, her candor, and her caring heart. Beneath her sassy exterior was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother whose love was constant and steady. She showed her care through her presence, her reliability, and her fierce commitment to those she loved.
Her legacy lives on in the strength she instilled in her family and the example she set through a life of perseverance, loyalty, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Old Springfield Cemetery, 1233 Log Cabin Road, Loris, SC. 29569. The family will receive friends at the home following the service.
