Jane Mary Miner

She is survived by her daughter, Christa Meliti and her husband, Nickolas from Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Scott Miner and his wife, Lorraine from Keeseville, NY; son, Michael Miner from Plattsburgh, NY, and Little River, SC; son, Jonathan Miner and his wife, Marta from Carolina Shores, NC; daughter, Melanie Holmes and her husband Patrick from Peru. NY; grandchildren, Erin, Megan, Jatha, William, Joshua, Jeremy, Nathan, Brian, Amanda, Benjamin; 18 great grandchildren; along with two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents along with her husband of 73 years, William “Bill” Miner, grandson, Matthew Baughn, seven brothers and one sister.

Jane was a graduate of Peru Central High School in Peru, New York. Originally from New York, this is where she lived the majority of her life before relocating to South Carolina. She worked as a high school hall monitor for the Peru Central School District and as a cook supervisor for Plattsburgh Air Force Base in Plattsburgh, NY. Her and husband Bill operated a ceramic shop for several years. She took great pride serving for several years as the lead decorator at St. Augustine Church and as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. After relocating to South Carolina, Jane became an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in North Myrtle Beach. She greatly enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, baking, sewing and playing card games with her many friends. She was a social butterfly organizing events as the Queen Mother of two separate Red Hat Chapters and with events with her numerous friends. Jane cherished each moment she spent with her beloved friends and family. Especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

A prayer service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, https://donate.cancer.org.
