Janet was a classmate at the MCV School of Nursing (now Virginia Commonwealth University) when we graduated in 1954. My sympathy to the family.  Our group is decreasing every year that passes.

Janet was my Maternity Nursing instructor in 1977. I am now a 39 year L/D nurse and it was all because of her passion for mothers and babies. She cared so much for her students while making sure we always understood her course work. What a great beacon of light for the nursing profession!!!

Janet was a wonderful ambassador for the dance we all love, the shag.  Her smiling face and soft voice always made you stop and listen to what she had to say.  She was fair in her consideration of others, always offering compliments as she felt were deserved.
An Icon of Shag has joined those dancers gone before her and now she is dancing in the stars!

My condolences and Prayers go out to the Morris Family on the passing of Janet.  Although I only knew her a short few years, she just pulled me into her Heart at our first meeting together and I was Blessed by her beautiful smile and quietly spoken words.  Her memory will live on in my Heart forever.
