Following his graduation in 1962 from Central Gwinnett High School, Dave began his employment with DuPont. On June 7, 1963, Dave married Katherine Rutledge Murray in Avondale Estates, GA. He and Katherine relocated several times throughout his career and he retired in 2001 in Front Royal, VA. Following his retirement, they moved to Longs, SC, where he and Katherine joined Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Dave was an avid golfer who also enjoyed traveling with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Murray; daughter, Karen Bissinger; and granddaughter, Vanessa Bissinger. Dave is also survived by his siblings, Charles, Travis and Chester. He was preceded in death by his sister Eloise and his son-in-law, Steve Bissinger.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC 29566.
