John Fredercik Franz

John Frederick “Jack” Franz, 86, died Monday, August 21, 2017 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 12, 1930 in New Rochelle, NY, he was the son of the late John Frederick and Martha Lundgren Franz.

Mr. Franz proudly served his country as a pilot in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Rita Gail Kriss Franz; two sons, John Frederick Franz, Jr. and James P. Franz (Marie) and three grandchildren, Patrick “Sage”, Shaun and Eloise Franz.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 25 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium niche. The family will receive friends following the service.
