John Paul "Beaver" Greenway, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 16, 2016. Beaver was born April 7, 1937 in Anderson, South Carolina.
Following in the footsteps of his father, W. Norman Greenway, Beaver became an evangelist where his sole objective was to preach the Gospel and lead others to salvation through Jesus Christ. He was the founder of The Church of the Lost and Found in North Myrtle Beach where he preached for sixteen years. He often said, "The only eternal thing you can do for a man is lead that man to Christ."
Beaver is preceded in death by his parents W. Norman (Muriel) and his brother, Bill Greenway. He is survived by his wife, Ann, their son, Scott (Ivie) Greenway, brothers-in-law, Larry and Ken Massey, nieces Tara Leibowitz and Adriene Massey, nephew Bill, sister-in-law Sylvia and grandchildren Kaylin and Makayla.
A Homegoing service was held on Wednesday, September 21 at Lee's Funeral Home in Little River. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Church of the Lost and Found, 100-G Ivystone Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
"May the church be edified, the Lord be glorified and the man nearest Hell be saved."
