Jose A. Burgos Jr.

As an adult he moved to Myrtle beach, S.C. where he developed an insatiable passion for dance and spent most of his career as a ballroom dance instructor (where he met his Fiancé). He competed nationally and internationally winning many awards in the field as well as participating in the community dancing with the stars fundraising events. He was devoted to learning everything about his faith and believed in our lord and savior and spent much of his time within the Faith home Ministries and Hebron Colony communities building brotherhoods to last a lifetime. He was fascinated by the innovations of technology and was extremely tech savvy. His love for his family had no boundaries and his helping hands were limitless. He was a loving father who imprinted his light in the heart and soul of his children. He was an avid fan of Marvel comics and movies which he brought to life within his children. Jose was known for his bigger than life personality and had an uncanny ability to touch the hearts of people around him wherever life took him. He always had a smile on his face and believed there was no such thing as a stranger. He will truly be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jose was predeceased by his mother Joanne B. Ferguson. He is survived by his loving family: fiancé Nicole Mastry and his three sons Kaydan, Kai, and Kruz as well as his blended children Ethan and Emma of Myrtle beach. His father Jose Alberto Burgos Sr. and stepmother Betsy. His grandmother Amalia V. Gruber “Mama” of Florida. His brother Gary Shute of Myrtle Beach. His sister Jenessa M. Crisalli (Shawn) and niece Angelina of Myrtle beach, his brother Jorgie of Georgia, and sister Keila of Florida.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Friday January 13, 2023, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service.

There will be a celebration of life to honor Jose at a future date
