Mr. Judson "Jud" Kuhn

Born in Elkins, West Virginia, on July 27, 1964 and grew up in Wilmington and Charlotte, North Carolina. He graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and later attended Montreat-Anderson College in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Jud accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 16 and became a devout Christ follower. He was also an Eagle Scout and Veteran of the United States Air Force. Jud was a very well respected business owner of Jud Kuhn Chevrolet and also shared his passion for the outdoors as part owner of the television hunting show Drop Zone. His commitment to helping others was evident in his leadership as past President of SOWW (Special Operations Wounded Warriors).

Jud was deeply devoted to his faith, his pastor and his church, Valorous Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Edwin Kuhn and father in law, Bob Portteus. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Portteus Kuhn, and their dear son, Gavin Elijah Kuhn. He is also survived by his mother Dolores Kitzmiller Kuhn, sister Rona Diane Kuhn Cassell and many others.

A service to honor Jud will be held on Saturday, October 11th, at 11 a.m. at Valorous Church in North Myrtle Beach. The church address is 2100 Fire Tower Rd. Little River, SC 29566 (843-280-1270).
