Kathleen S. Remini

Kathy was born on May 27, 1957 in Brooklyn NY, accounting for her distinct NY accent. Kathy spent much of her life on Long Island NY where she married Vincent Remini in 1980 and the pair welcomed their daughter and only child, Sara in 1981. Vincent and Kathleen later relocated to Raleigh NC and then to SC in 2020.

Kathy was quick witted, creative and talented. A naturally gifted artist, Kathy was commissioned many times to do portraits for families but also loved to paint landscapes and images from Vincent’s photography. She also loved to crochet and her memory will live on in the beautifully made blankets, hats, doilies and shawls she made for loved ones over the years. She also crocheted hats for babies in the NICU. She especially loved to crochet stuffed animals and hats for her grandson Morgan with whom she shared an irreplaceable bond and enjoyed being a Nana to him most of all. Kathy had a love for animals and rescued many cats and dogs over the years. She had a green thumb for gardening and loved to watch hummingbirds visit her beautiful gardens.

Kathy was a beloved and trusted friend, one who was easy to talk to and always held an open door for those in need. She loved music, a bond she shared with her brother Richard “Rit” whom she worked for and alongside of for many years. Kathy loved miniature golf, board games like scrabble and othello, and spending time with her family.

She was welcomed to heaven by her Mom and Dad Dorothea and George Kerrigan, and will be missed on earth dearly by the love of her life Vincent, their daughter Sara, son in law Robby and many other family members and friends many of whom visited with her before her peaceful passing.
