Kathy was born on March 30, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of a United States Marine. Because of her father’s service, she spent her early childhood at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina—a place that would quietly shape her lifelong love for the Carolina coast. Her family later settled in Frackville, Pennsylvania, where she graduated high school and began the life that would be defined by devotion to family.
She married her husband, Frank Wisdo, and together they built a home in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, raising six children. Kathleen poured her heart into her family, finding purpose and joy in caring for others. Being a wife and mother was never just a role to her—it was who she was. Her home was a place of comfort, warmth, laughter, and always food on the table.
Though life took her many places, Kathy's heart always belonged to the beaches of North Carolina. In the 1980s, she fulfilled her dream of returning there, creating a life filled with salt air, family gatherings, and cherished memories by the sea.
Kathy was the kind of woman who made people feel safe simply by being near her. She had an enormous heart, a gentle soul, and a kindness that knew no limits. She loved through action—through cooking everyone’s favorite meals, through listening without judgment, through prayers whispered quietly for those she knew were hurting. Her faith was unwavering and deeply lived, guiding everything she did.
After the loss of her beloved husband, Kathy continued to find joy in the simple things: baking, cooking, time spent with her sisters at her beach place, and most of all, being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a mother, grandmother, a GiGi, a confidant, and a constant source of love. Her family was her greatest blessing, and she made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved.
Kathy is survived by her children: Chris Wisdo (Darla), Rich Wisdo (Debbie), Lisa Zelenak Rogers (Steve), Frani Antonucci (Ronnie), and Taxi Norris (Brent); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who adored her: Kady Zelenak, Richie Wisdo, Madyson Contrevo, Vincent Contrevo, Chloe Wisdo, Roman Bianco, Tate Norris, Carmine Montez, Anthony Contrevo, Ila Serrano and Riley Wisdo; and her siblings, who she cared for like a second mother: Charlie Klementowich, Michele King, Lisa Keenan, and Louis Klementowich. She is also survived by many cousins who were like sisters, and nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by her husband and true love, Frank Wisdo; her son, John Wisdo; her parents, Stan and Gloria Klementowich; her brother, Stan Klementowich Jr.; and her sister and best friend, Gloria Walls.
Kathleen “Kitten” Wisdo will be missed beyond words—every minute of every day. While our hearts ache in her absence, we find peace in knowing her deep faith has carried her home, free from pain, resting gently in the arms of Jesus. A celebration of life will be planned for the spring.
