Larkin Perry Keller III, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Perry was the son of the late Larkin P. Keller, Jr. and Helen Harper Keller. He grew up in Lexington, NC where he met and married the love of his life, Maranda Black Keller on December 27, 1972.
Following a 21-year military career, Perry retired from as a SFC in the US Army in Chesterfield, VA. He began a second career with the UPS where he was a logistics manager until his retirement on December 31, 2017, when he and Maranda made their home in Little River. Perry was a proud member of the American Legion Post 186 as well as a lifetime member of the D.A.V and was most recently a recipient of the Quilt of Valor.
Perry enjoyed action-packed westerns; dramas; action movies; and "Fair and balanced" world news. He treasured time spent with his two four-legged canine companions, Kuba and Malee. His greatest joy in life was his family and being Paw Paw to his five grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife Maranda Black Keller; sons, Shannon Keller (Heather), Brandon Keller (Angelica); daughter-in-love, Carie Pullano; five grandchildren, Zach, Blake, Madison, Ava, Owen; and sister, Judy Thomason. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Perry was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Rose and Joyce Roach.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory, 11840 Highway 90, Little River, SC. Casual dress is requested.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Autism Speaks, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Promatica Hospice, or Wounded Warrior Project.
