Larry Wesley Haines, age 81, formerly of East Berlin and Spring Grove, PA, passed away at his home in Little River, SC on Friday, September 19, 2025. He was the loving husband for over 52 years of Vonnie M. Haines who passed away on May 7, 2015.
Larry was born in Frederick, MD on February 28, 1944, the son of the late Raymond “Pete’ and Francis “Grace” (Webb) Haines. Larry was a 1962 graduate of Bermudian Springs High School, York Springs. Larry was employed by AMF, Borg Warner, Rutter’s, Snyder’s, and most recently, Penn Wood. Larry was an avid sports fan, especially the LA Rams and Dodgers, as well as college football and basketball. Larry also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Larry is survived by his sons Dennis L. Haines, Bennettsville, SC, Dale L. Haines, Kingsland, GA, and daughter Dori L. Haines & companion Steven Johnson, Fairmont, WV, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Larry was predeceased by a son, Daniel L. Haines.
Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
