
Larry is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years,Gloria Johnson Hall; his son, Freddie Hall and wife Andora Bass; grandchildren, Garrison Hall and wife Maddy, and Marlena Hall; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Suzanna.
Larry was a graduate of Hillsborough High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina. He was a skilled craftsman who loved working with his hands, owning and operating his own construction company for many years. His passion for woodworking was evident in the beautiful pieces he created and shared with those he loved.
Larry was a devoted member of Ocean Drive Pavilion Church in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where his faith and fellowship were a cornerstone of his life. He moved to North Myrtle Beach in 2002, embracing the coastal lifestyle and spending cherished time at the beach. Known for his warm personality and infectious smile, Larry had a gift for making people laugh and feel welcome. His favorite saying, “If you can’t make someone smile, get out of my way,” perfectly captured his approach to life— spreading happiness wherever he went.
Larry’s legacy of love, laughter, and craftsmanship live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Ocean Drive Pavilion Church, 91 S. Ocean Blvd, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29597. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the following organizations:
