I am saddened that you are gone but happy there's no more pain. You are now reunited with Eddie and all of your family who have gone before you. Rest in the loving arms of our Savior.

My husband, Kevin, and I met Eddie golfing almost 20 years ago. We became good friends with Laura and Eddie and cherished our time with them on our frequent trips to Myrtle Beach. After Eddie's passing we continued to look forward to our visits with Laura, and reminiscing about our times with Eddie too.  Laura was such a special person and friend.  Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed and we will remember her and Eddie so fondly. All our love and prayers to her family and friends.

I lost a very dear friend in Laura. This photo is the last time Ann, Shirley and myself had dinner with Laura. Laura was sweet, thoughtful, kind, funny, generous, no-nonsense, and lovely in every way. She loved life and made the most of every moment. She loved people. Many times she would surprise me with a gift or treat just because she knew I would love it. That’s just one example of her thoughtfulness. I know she’s done that and more for others too. Laura had many friends and I was blessed to be one of them. I miss you and will always miss you sweet Laura. Rest in peace, my friend.

It has been many years since I’ve seen Laura, but I was deeply saddened to hear about her passing.

May fond memories bring you peace during this challenging time.

High school.  I’ve known Laura since we were 14 …. I still want to call her and talk about absolutely everything and nothing.

What a kind soul. I will miss you, Laura, your quirky sense of humor, our time at the gym, and especially our trip to Italy. Say hi to Eddie.

Heartbroken to lose such a sweet, kind soul. Laura wasn’t just my South Carolina neighbor; she was my friend. No matter what was happening, she knew how to make me smile. I have so many happy memories of her zipping down the street in her little white SUV with a big smile and a wave, running into each other at Fresh Market and Marshall’s, the driveway chats, our days at the beach, pool days, happy hours, ladies dinners and enjoying the “after parties” together. She taught me so much about how to enjoy life. I am grateful I was able to be by her side during her final days. The neighborhood won’t be the same without her light. Love you always. Laura was eight years older than me, and some of my earliest memories are of her babysitting me when I was little. Even as a tiny girl, I remember her quiet, warm love. She was gentle in a way that made you feel safe just being near her. Her kindness was never loud. It was steady, soft, and constant.

Laura and my other cousins always included me. When they were teenagers, they took me everywhere with them. I was the little one tagging along, but they never made me feel like I didn’t belong. They brought me with them, looked out for me, and made sure I was part of everything.

I remember going to their apartments, sitting on the floor, laughing, and being played with and talked to like I mattered. They chose me. They made time for me. Instead of treating me like an annoying younger cousin, they truly cherished me. They were there for me when I needed them most, in ways that mattered deeply. And I cherish those memories more than I can say.

Laura was so special to me that I asked her to be my maid of honor. And she carried that title for the rest of her life. She never stopped checking in on me. She never stopped caring. That was just who she was. Loving, thoughtful, and always present.

While my heart is broken that she is gone, I am grateful that her suffering is over. I find comfort in believing she is now at peace, reunited with her family in heaven, especially her husband Eddie, whom she loved so deeply. I know being with him again would mean everything to her.

My love and prayers are with her sister Lorraine. Laura’s gentleness, her kindness, and her quiet love will always live in my heart. I was so lucky to be loved by her, and I will carry her with me always.
