Lewis D. Lewis

Lewis Dean “John” Lewis, 68 died Friday, December 9, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 25, 1948 in Horry County, SC, he was the son of the late John T. and Eva E. Lee Lewis.

John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Ann Potter Lewis; two sons, Robert “Dean” Lewis (Debbie), Jonathan Sam Lewis; daughters, Lisa Lewis Gore (Chris); three brothers, Layton Lewis, Sherward Lewis, Glenn Lewis; six sisters, Anne Smith, Marilyn Suggs, Mary Todd, Eunice Voivedich, Valley Martin, Edna Lewis; and four grandchildren, Terrance, Summer, J.T. and Carter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 12 at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral service in Lewis Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, 1010 Hickman Road, Calabash, NC 28467.
