

Louis E. “Buddy” Brammer, 84, of Little River, SC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at home with his wife and daughter, Lynn, by his side. He was the loving husband of Ann L Brammer. They were married for 14 years.
Buddy was born August 14, 1940 in Cecil County, Maryland. He was the son of the late Coney and Eleanor Brammer.
Buddy graduated from Rising Sun, MD High School and joined the Army in 1958 where he served 30 years. Buddy did five tours of duty, one in Korea, one in Germany and three in Vietnam before retiring in 1988. While also in the Army he obtained his degree at Rutgers University. He was then employed by the State of Maryland at the County Courthouse for 18 years.
Buddy earned many awards during his 30 years of service including National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Medal, Bronze Star Medal W/V Device, six Army Good Conduct Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medal, Army Occupation Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Combat Infantryman Badge and more.
Buddy had a larger than life personality, irresistible charm and a heart of gold. He was loved by anyone that ever knew him, he never met a stranger. Buddy was a life-time member of the American Legion, the Eagles Club, and a Mason. He was an avid golfer and Shuffle Board player and loved sports of all kinds. One of Buddy’s favorite past times was working with and training Labrador Retrievers.
In addition to his wife, Ann, Buddy is survived by his son, Dwain Brammer of AR; two daughters, Karen Blanchard of Perryville, MD and Jewel Lynn Miller of Quarryville, PA; six grandchildren, Tim Brammer, Amber Barney, Christopher Timm, Tommy Bennett, Taylor Damico and Travis Bennett; eight great grandchildren; and his beloved pride and joy dog, Bailey. Buddy is preceded in death by his mother Eleanor, father Coney, and life long best friend, Harvey Comer.
Per Buddy’s wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in his home state of Maryland.
