

Born in Morrisville, Pennsylvania on September 15, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ewankov Jachym. Residing most of her life in the Trenton and Yardville, NJ area, Dolly moved along with her daughter Jo to Jackson, NJ then Tucson, AZ and finally to Little River, SC.
Dolly was an artist who retired from Edward Marshall Boehm Porcelain in Trenton. She also worked for Switlik during war times, waitressed at Romeo & Juliet’s in Trenton and in her later years she worked part time for SHM Mailers in Princeton, NJ.
Over the years Dolly enjoyed hosting card game nights with her family and friends. She was well known for being quite the card shark. She enjoyed bowling with TRANE bowling league, shuffleboard with VFW Post 491 and gambling in Atlantic City. Always the life of the party, and quick to tell a “dirty” joke. Dolly was the eternal optimist. She always found the good in others and was sincerely loved by all who met her.
Dolly is survived by her children, Mary Jachym Mabes (Michael), Anthony J. Catana (Teresa), Josephine Catana Fry (Karl); brother Thaddeus “Teddy” Jachym, and sister-in-law Dorothy Jachym; grandchildren, Michael Catana, Nicholas Kocsis (Stephanie), Robert Kocsis, Kristen Fry Craft (Nicholas); great-grandchildren, Nathan Kocsis, Noelle Kocsis; her adopted by love daughter, Jacklyn Orha; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Ronald J. Catana; brothers, John Jachym; Joseph “Sonny” Jachym, and sister-in-law, RoseMarie Battaglia Jachym; cousin who was raised as her sister, Barbara Ewankov Tkaczuk.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, 1:00 p.m. in Saint Mary’s Cemetery located at 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ. The burial of Teddy Jachym, Dolly’s brother, will also occur at that time. The family would like to invite friends and family to join them in a Celebration of Life Luncheon to be held at Villa Mannino Ristorante, 73 Route 130, Bordentown, NJ, immediately following the graveside service.
