Marta Jose-Tomas

Marta Jose Tomas,81, of Little River, SC passed away on February 23, 2026. Born on December 28, 1944, in Guatemala, Marta carried her rich heritage, strong values, and loving spirit with her throughout her life.

Affectionately known as “Martita” because of her petite stature and gentle presence, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sibling, and friend whose life radiated unwavering faith, gentle kindness, and deep love for others.

A faithful member of the El Nuevo Mandamiento SC, Marta lived each day rooted in prayer, compassion, and generosity. Her heart overflowed with love, and her faith never wavered. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort and peace knowing she now rests in God’s eternal embrace.

Marta is lovingly survived by her children Herbert Roman (Dina), Lesbia Castillo (Roberto), Vinicio Monroy (Clara), and Oliver Ramirez (Mariah); her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her beloved sister, Maria; her devoted partner, Antonio; and her cherished companion, her dog Tony, who brought her daily comfort and joy.
