Born in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of late Harley and Julia Bela Owens Murrow.
Ellen worked as an office manager at Thompson Roofing. She enjoyed spending time with friends, family and especially her 3 grandchildren, whom she adored.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years, Quinn Thompson; her sons, Ryan Thompson (Jennifer); Jason Thompson; her sisters, Esther Webster; Ann Ogle; and 3 grandchildren, Hadley, Declan and Ellis.
Family will receive friends and family from 9:30am-10:30am at Lee Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 23, 2021. Graveside service will be at the Forest Lawn Cemetery at 11:00am.
