He was born in Loris, SC on August 4, 1952, to the late Donald Ray Campbell and Pauline Floyd Campbell.
He was a graduate of Loris High School. He worked in the food service industry all of his life, most recently as the Assistant Deli Manager of Boulineau’s in Cherry Grove. He worked there for many years until his retirement a few years ago. He was lovingly referred to as the “king of all breakfast cooks” by his dear friend Charmaine Conklin also of Boulineau’s. For all who truly knew him he was a fierce and loyal friend. He would give you the shirt off of his back or come to you in your time of need.

He is survived by his sisters, Betty Campbell of Loris and Joy Campbell of North Myrtle Beach; brother, Don James of Boardman, NC; first wife Betty Courtney of Loris and their children, Michael Floyd (Kelly) Campbell Jr. of Derry, PA. and Michelle Campbell (Will) Huss of Clemson, SC; his second wife, Carolyn Campbell; three step daughters, Robin Vaught Parrish, Angela Vaught Page, and Amber Vaught Franks; nieces and nephews, Josh (Jill) Campbell, Lindsay Ashley (Brian) Campbell Lovett (Crystal) and Trevor Lovett (Stacie) and grandchildren, Webb, Mary, Branton, Maggie, Lauren and Kenny, Heather Luna, Justin, Trace, Whitney, Michael, Jackson and Camden; also his great nephews, Jonah, Shaw and Lochlan.
