Nat White

Nat White, our friend and neighbor, passed away on November 9, 2023 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Veronika, and three sons, Christian, Eric, and Alex, daughter-in-law Liz and three grandchildren, Connor, Catherine and Jeremiah.

Nat moved to Sunset Beach in 2014 from the Philadelphia area. Prior to retiring in 2007, he worked as a recreation therapist and then a horticultural therapist at Norristown State Hospital in Pennsylvania. He received a Master’s Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and was also a Master Gardner.

An avid gardener, Nat could be seen working in his yard almost every day. He loved biking, boating, reading, bible study, chess, Fantasy Football, the Philadelphia Eagles and his beloved golden retriever, Casey. Nat and Casey could often be seen at the Sunset Beach Park along the Intracoastal Waterway in the afternoon.

A funeral mass at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Shallotte will be announced at a later date.
